One night, Christmas night, a little boy named Kevin was going to sleep. Kevin was really good that day. Kevin’s mom said he could take the cat, Leo, up in bed with him that night to sleep with him because of his good behavior. Kevin was so excited. He loved sleeping with Leo because he said Leo was cuddly. Of coarse Santa had already left the North Pole on his sleigh so he wasn’t really watching. As soon as Kevin fell asleep, Leo went downstairs to sleep in front of the fireplace. Soon Santa was at Kevin’s house, but he didn’t know they had a cat. Santa made it down the fireplace and saw the cat sleeping right there. Santa was afraid of cats. So afraid, he wouldn’t deliver any presents until the cat was gone. Santa called to his elves back in the North Pole and told them to come help him get the cat to go away. Before Santa knew it, the elves were all there, ready to help Santa.
The elves tried many different things, but the cat wouldn’t budge. They tried giving the cat the cookies Kevin left for Santa, but it didn’t work. They tried giving the cat the milk, but it still didn’t work. They were almost positive that would work, but it didn’t. Santa didn’t want to disappoint Kevin when he woke up the next morning. Santa had to think of something, and quick. Santa thought and thought and thought. Why is the cat there he asked himself. How can I move him? Then he figured it out! He needed to turn off the fireplace. With no heat to warm Leo, he would have to move! Then Santa, with barley any time to spare, turned off the fireplace. The cat quickly moved to find a warmer spot. Quickly Santa delivered the presents and left the house.
That morning when Kevin woke up he was so happy he had gotten presents from Santa. He said he wanted every Christmas to turn out like this one.
I think Santa would disagree just a little bit, don’t you?
Absolutely adorable!!! I love your stories sweetie. Uncle Mike and Aunt Suebee are so proud of you!!!
